Liner notes: Just before closing his tour in Los Angeles, Elvis gave two Shows in San Francisco.
The Cow Palace was packed two days in a row with 14.300 Fans. Tickets were sold at $ 7.50 and $ 12.50. The gross receipt of the show was $ 158.115.
With this figure, Elvis topped the "Billboard Box Office Chart", just ahead of Pop stars such as Peter Frampton, Lynyrd Skynyrd, Black Sabbath and Kiss.
Elvis wore the "King Of Spades" jumpsuit and was in a very good mood. Backstage, prior to the show,
Elvis received a beautiful flower arrangement in the form of an American Eagle from a fan. He would mention this during the show.
Elvis stayed at the Hilton Towers in San Francisco and was joined later that day by Ginger Alden, who arrived from Memphis. Lisa Marie was brought to Bay City by Priscilla and stayed the two days with Elvis.
Some rumours were spread that San Francisco might suffer an earthquake that week. On top of the Hilton Towers, Elvis responded briefly: "I'd rather fall on top of everyone, than have everyone fall on top of me!"
