Issued in 2001 by Elvis Presley Enterprises and BMG USA to promote the Elvis image.
This
CD was sent by EPE Inc. and RCA Record Licensing Division to potential
corporate clients to consider using Elvis’ music in their advertising
campaigns. The front insert consists of an 8-page booklet. The front
page / cover contains the following phrase on a yellow background :
“Exclusive! The King Of Rock ‘N’ Roll Lives !”. Across the top of the
front cover it states : Elvis Presley Enterprises Special Sightings
Edition”. Across the bottom of the front cover , there are five small
color images of record covers and early photos. The inside of the
booklet contains various tabloid articles and full color pictures. In
addition , the Elvis Presley Enterprises phone number and website are
printed enticing the recipients of this CD to “make the King of Rock
‘n’ Roll and effective part of your next advertising campaign”. The
last page of the booklet lists the 13 tracks contained on the CD and
shows the Elvis RCA record awards and the front cover of “From Elvis In
Memphis” record. In addition , the BMG and RCA logos are printed
accompanied by the well-known phrase : “Not For Sale”. The rear cover
of this CD release is identical to the last page of the enclosed
booklet. This release also came with a BMG Licensing Department reply
card in order to receive feedback from the recipients of this
promotional package. The CD is a picture disc and is identical to the
front cover of the release. However , it does not contain the word :
“Exclusive!” which is used on the front cover. The RCA and BMG logos
and the catalog prefix are also printed at the bottom of the CD as well
as the warning : “Not For Sale”. Together with the five Graceland CDs ,
this is one of the most difficult USA originating promo CD to locate on the
collectors market.
