Again a super rare - maybe the rarest - CD:
The lost Elvis RCA CD. A RCA Special Products CD pressed for Heartland
Music.
Till now it was only known that "His Songs Of Faith and Inspiration" existed
as a vinyl 2 LP set or as a
cassette version (see David Petrelles book Solid Gold Elvis).
This RCA Special Products double CD set was totally unknown.
In Dale Hampton's book "Elvis - For CD Fans Only" this RCA CD set is listed
as the lost CD.
Only title and catalog number are mentioned ... nothing else. No cover, back
inlay or CD label picture. Here you have it now! Thanks to Andy.

Here we have an ultra rare pressing!
Made in 1987 and released in the U.S. The "LOVE ME TENDER" was released
first on MC (CAK-2650). Total sale exceeded 982,000 copies. Certified as GOLD AWARD.
This CD is probably
made between "Burning Love And Hits From His Movies Vol. 2" (CAD1-2595) and
"Elvis Sings For Children And Grownups Too" (CAD1-2704).
This is a real strange thing and one of the rarest
collectable CDs It's not listed in
any book, not even in "For CD Fans Only" by Dale Hampton.

This is a mega rare one track SONO CREATIVE DISC.
It has only one Elvis track, HOUND DOG, on it. It is clear
plastic with a nice picture on the disc.
This CD has no front or back cover.
Hound Dog is handwritten on CD. No catalog number.
The CD was made as a Sonopress (the BMG associated pressing plant) inhouse
promotional and given only to a handful of the exclusive staff.
Probably as an experiment disc for a planned but never realized CD-singles
series.
The CD isn't white colored! Outside the 3" silver playing area it is made in
transparet plastic that we have a 5" CD. For a better view we show here
the CD with white and dark background.
Another super rarity CD that is almost impossible to find.

This was considered the rarest BMG CD from the USA for many years. Even the book by
Dale Hampton 'For CD
Fans only' ccould not show the cover. We've got the Info from Dale Hampton
that only 20 pieces were made.
But now the myth surrounding this CD has dissolved somewhat.
Recently, CDs have appeared on the collectors' market that are even sealed. It
is assumed that the CDs were stored and the storage location has now been found.
Nevertheless, the CD is still rare. Just not as rare as it was considered some
time ago.
