Announcement: As part of its ongoing live on tour series, FTD is pleased to announce the release of Elvis: Las Vegas '73.
Released as a 2-CD 5" digi-pak, this set features Elvis from two shows at the Las Vegas Hilton; August 20 (midnight) and September 2nd (3AM).

Concert:

This is the first time that FTD releases complete concerts that were recorded with 2 microphones by the sound engineer on the stage.
We already had some snippets on the FTD "I Found My Thrill" (2006) presented as a medley from February 1974 in Las Vegas. So we have a debut here and I think it really sounds excellent. We have a nice stereo effect and you can hear audience reactions which leads to a very vivid affair.
You get a feeling of being part of the crowd. Just as if you were right there. The concerts are similar regarding the quality.
Elvis and band are in a good mood and we have appealing set lists with many highlights like Steamroller Blues, Trouble (only done in this Vegas season as full version), What Now My Love, Release Me, Mystery Train / Tiger Man, the beautiful The First Time Ever I Saw Your Face and many more.
FTD did know that concerts of this recording format were requested by the fans for a long time now. So here we go ! (Ciscoking)
