Houston Astrodome (From Tulsa to Houston) (LP/CD) - Elvis Presley Bootleg CD

Released from the "VV" label for the first time in vinyl, of the show of Houston 03th of March 1974 and including the unreleased ambiance recording Tulsa OK. Oral Roberts University March 2, 1974, included as a bonus.

As always the VV attitude is to present Elvis at the peak of his possibility and without a doubt, this double set presents Elvis still at his best. After shedding some extra weight the man is ready to face his first tour of 1974. March 1974 started with two great shows in Tulsa and then departed to Houston for two shows in the Astrodome where Elvis beat his own audience record from 1970. The Houston show it’s a usual one where Elvis faces a large distant adoring crowd without the orchestra.
Here is presented completely remastered for the first time in heavy glorious vinyl.

At the same time, we are glad to include as a bonus CD an unreleased Ambiance Recording of the previous day in Tulsa. The sound is decent: if you want to live the atmosphere of an Elvis concert in 2021 this is the right tape. We can guarantee that Elvis was greeted with incredible enthusiasm; the popularity in the live scene in the middle of 1974 is at its maximum level.

The tour presents Elvis still at the top of his possibility, despite He is not anymore the rocker of 1970. He still looks great in his impressive jumpsuits and he delivers great shows with a great version of his classic hits adding to the repertoire the religious new Help me and reaching the top of the classic anthem American Trilogy and the sacred How Great Thou Art.

Concert: A very good concert from a very good tour. The crowd went nuts as soon as Elvis hit the stage. A move with his little finger almost caused riots among the fans and the King knew it.
In addition we have an excellent set list with something for everybody. Trying To Get To You, You've Lost That Lovin' Feeling, My Baby Left Me, I Can't Stop Loving You, Let Me Be There and more.
Choose your own highlight. A powerhouse performance. Pity, the sound is plain average. (Ciscoking)
