 Notes:   Announcement:
The new release by Touchdown Productions will be the midnight show from August 28, 1971. The previously unreleased recording was taken from a 1st generation copy of the original audience recorded tape. One of the highlights - next to others - is a strong version of "I just can't help Believin'" which Elvis only did four times in 1971! The sound quality is of good quality for an audience recording! As usual the CD will be packaged with a beautiful designed 16-page booklet.

From the liner notes:
The original reel from the midnight show on August 28, 1971 belonged to Maria Luisa Davies. She and her sister Gladys were, what you'd call 'Super-Elvis-Fans'! They went to the August 1969 and February 1970 Vegas shows and the six concerts Elvis gave in March 1970 at the Houston Astrodome. Last but not least they went to Las Vegas during the August 1971 season. In total they saw 38 Elvis concerts during this two-year period. Maria Davies also posted on a regularly basis in Rex Martin's publication 'Elvis News Service about her accounts of seeing Elvis.
The sound quality of the CD is of a very decent quality, but the original recording suffered from all kind of problems audience recordings can have: wrong pitch, heavy wow and flutter on some songs and so on. Hours and hours of work went into the restoring and remastering of it. At least we're satisfied with what we achieved and so you now can listen to a very good concert with a strong set list in very decent audio quality. We hope you can enjoy the result as much as we do.

Concert:  A rarity nowadays on the import market: a show previously unreleased in any form. The inclusion of "I Just Can`t Help Believing" makes it even more worthwhile. We only have one more live version of this gem from1971 (Lake Tahoe, July 24 MS). Too bad that the sound is not the best. Anyway, for collectors a must-have in any case ! (Ciscoking)
