Volume One brings you the surviving acetates from the movie FUN IN ACAPULCO. Although the "Mexican" touch is not necessarily everyone's cup of tea, I have always liked the soundtrack music. Once again Elvis has proven he can do miracles with absolutely any kind of music. This collection of rare acetates includes quite a few starters. Perhaps most surprising are the so far unheard alternate takes of "I Think I'm Gonna Like lt Here", Take 18 and the complete Take 10 as well as "The Bullfighter Was A Lady", Take 17 and the complete Take 9. Also the complete Take 2 of "El Toro" was not available before. For the first time you can hear the complete, uninterrupted film version of "Mexico". The instrumental versions of "Marguerita" and "Guadalajara" will surely amuse you too.
Technical note: These recordings were duplicated directly from the original acetates to the quality tape and then were transferred to digital media and re-mastered with maximum care to today's highest standards.
