Just six short weeks after his discharge from the U. S. Army Sgt. Elvis Presley-ASN 53310761 - was back in the studio for the third time recording the soundtrack for his first postarmy movie.
This magnificent sounding CD contains the best of what was recording during the April and May sessions. Each selection contains at least one complete alternate take. "Blue Suede Shoes" (Take - 1) is the only master included.
As there is a poor supply of material from other official sources, we hope that you, the fans, will enjoy the opportunity of hearing the birth and progression of hits like "Doin' The Best I Can", "Tonight's All Right For Love" and "G. I. Blues".
In order to create the mood of the "G. I." days the CD commences with Elvis being sworn into the U. S. Army. Gee, we hope you like this CD.
