The Essential 60's Masters I
Issued in 1993 by BMG International to promote “The 60’s Box Set” in Europe.
This must be the most lavishly presented single Elvis CD by BMG to date. The gold colored CD is presented in a triple fold-out digipack. The front cover is identical to “The ’60s Box Set” except the background is much darker on this variation. The cover also states that this is a “Special 14 Track Sampler - Limited Edition For Promotion Only”. The inside cover has a foreword by The RCA Records Label identical to the one included in “The ’60s Box Set” booklet. In addition , the inside cover reproduces the “Collectible Stamps Of Elvis Presley’s 1960s RCA Records Label Covers” (much smaller than in the box set itself) and contains an advertisement for “The ‘60s Box Set” - all in full color. All songs included on this CD are accompanied by detailed recording / statistical data. The back overlap contains the following phrase : “For Promotional Use Only - Not For Sale”. The CD itself features black print on a gold background. A highly attractive , eye catching collectible.
