This CD contains all of Elvis hits that reached #1 on the U.S. charts between
1956 and 1962.
Highlights include both sides of the single 'Hound Dog' / 'Don t Be Cruel' (the
most successful Elvis single release, with 11 weeks on the charts), Elvis second
RCA single, 'I Want You, I Need You, I Love You,' and the classic rocker 'Heartbreak
Hotel' (which peaked at number one and remained on the charts for eight weeks
after extensive television exposure following its release).
To the 19561962 #1 U.S. hits, we have added 8 BONUS TRACKS, corresponding to the
Elvis singles that reached #1 on the UK charts between 1956 and 1962.
The Sun Records single 'I Forgot to Remember to Forget,' which picked at #1 on
the country & western charts in 1956, has been included also as a bonus.
