Flyin' High - Elvis Presley Bootleg CD

The sound is slightly better than on "Stripped Of My Heart, My Soul"...dull but less hiss.

From the lineer notes: After a very successful tour Elvis gave a special, powerful tour closing show for his audience in Atlanta.
Although being in a rather funny mood he still was capable to perform great renditions of "Steamroller Blues", "How Great Thou Art" and "An American Trilogy".
Songs Ilke "You Gave Me a Mountain" and "What Now My Love" received a special treatment this evening, because Elvis does not only sing them, but also recites some of the words.
This adds a certain dramatic feel to both songs.

Although the set list is quite similar to other shows of this tour, there are some highly appreciated exceptions.
It's great to hear Elvis sing a fine version of "Help Me Make lt Through the Night". "My Way and "Release Me" were only sung an this special evening in Atlanta.
But the biggest surprise of this show is definitely an ultrarare version of "Memphis Tennessee".

The sound quality of this audience recording is okay. Not the best, but also not the worst.
Due to a tape error the sound unfortunately deteriorates in the middle of Suspicious Minds. But the end of the show is still worth listening.
Efforts have been made to achive optimum sound quality, however, priority has been given to historic content.

So sit back and enjoy this marvelous evening with Elvis!
